Mammatus Clouds

Bill Williams Mountain, Arizona

While hiking on Bill Williams Mountain, I saw the most dramatic display of mammatus clouds that I'd ever seen. These lobed clouds are caused by downdrafts of cold air and typically appear before severe thunderstorms.
