Albuquerque, New Mexico

A nearby sign explains the founding of this tiny town:

RIO GRANDE GARDEN RAILWAY

The Rio Grande Garden Railway was designed and constructed in 1999 by the Garden Railroaders of New Mexico, with assistance from Trains West and botanic garden staff. Club members handcrafted the small-scale buildings, figurines, signs and other furnishings for the scenery. American garden railroads have a gauge of 45mm (1.75 inches). "Gauge" is the distance between the rails of the track. The scale is 1:22.5 (one foot is equal to 22.5 feet).
