The Crocogator

[bizarre_crocogator1.jpg]

Miami, Arizona

The Crocogator is a confused beast; even he's not sure exactly what he is. His name implies he's somewhere between a crocodile and an alligator, but he looks distictly dinosaurish to me. Whatever its pedigree, this concrete creature is on view for all to see in the front yard of a private residence. There's no "Beware of Crocogator" sign, but I'd be careful anyway.

Directions: From State Route 188 between Globe & Miami, turn north and go for 4 miles, then turn right (east) on old State Route 88 (Wheatfields Road). Go 1 more mile; the Crocogator is on the right, at the intersection with Creek Side Road. The yard is unfenced, but please respect the privacy of the residents.
