Veterans Memorial Pyramid

[bizarre_guadalupepyramid.jpg]

Guadalupe, Arizona

I spotted this memorial pyramid while driving down the main street of Guadalupe, a small town in the greater Phoenix area. Painted on the face of the pyramid is this dedication:

In Memory Of

Guadalupe Veterns [sic]

Dedicated in honor of those who have borne the battle for the widows and for their orphans, and in simple obediance [sic] to duty as they understood it. These men suffered all, sacrificed all, dared all, and died .... Reverance [sic] is also symbolized to the veterans prisoners of war missing in action. God bless the United States of America and it's [sic] protectors of freedom, the Armed Forces.
