Monte Cassino Chapel

[bizarre_montecassino1.jpg]

Crestview Hills, Kentucky

This tiny chapel, measuring only six by nine feet, overlooks a pond near Thomas More College. Reportedly it was named as "Smallest Church in the World" by Ripley's Believe It Or Not in 1922. It was originally built in 1878 at a nearby monastery, then later moved to this site and restored. The text on the plaque on the front of the chapel:

IN HONOR OF HIS MOTHER
