Most Livable City

Many cities have upbeat slogans, which are often displayed on signs at city boundaries. Scottsdale's slogan is "The West's Most Western Town." But in 1993 the United States Conference of Mayors named Scottsdale as the country's "Most Livable City," which is what this sign proudly proclaims. But right behind this particular sign is ... Green Acres Mortuary and Cemetery! Oh the irony!

Directions: East side of Hayden Road just north of McKellips Road, on the southern border of Scottsdale.
