Comet NEAT with M46 and M47

Above the comet is the bright open star cluster M47; to the upper left of M47 is the much dimmer open star cluster M46 -- in this photo, it appears as a faint fuzzy patch.

Location: South of Phoenix, Arizona.
Camera: Olympus OM-1 35mm SLR on homemade tracking mount.
Film: Kodak Ektachrome E200 professional slide (pushed one stop).
Focal length: 100 mm.
Aperture: f/2.8.
Exposure time: 45 seconds.
