The town of Golden is one of several "semi-ghosts" along the Turquoise Trail historic road between the Sandia Mountains and Santa Fe, New Mexico -- farther up the road are the communities of Madrid and Cerrillos. Many of the buildings in these towns are still occupied and should only be viewed from the road; please respect the privacy of the residents.
