John and Sandy Weber's Rattlesnake Crafts is a delightful detour on the loop through the ghost towns of Cochise, Pearce, Courtland and Gleeson. In all my ghost-town travels, I have never seen a better collection of desert relics, all artfully arranged as an outdoor museum -- the bottles and insulator shown here are but a small sample. Also at the site is the Rattlesnake Crafts store, where you can find an amazing variety of items decorated with rattlesnake skin and rattles. If you visit, please treat the irreplaceable items in the outdoor museum (which are not for sale) with respect; a purchase or donation at the crafts store will help John and Sandy maintain this one-of-a-kind museum.
Rattlesnake Crafts is reached by the road between Tombstone and Gleeson in southeastern Arizona. The signed turnoff is a few miles west of Gleeson; follow the dirt road 2 miles south to the site.
