This evening rocket launch from Vandenberg Air Force Base on the California coast was visible for hundreds of miles. I photographed the launch from my yard in Prescott, Arizona -- 464 miles away from the launch site! The Falcon 9 rocket carried a batch of SpaceX's Starlink satellites, being launched south into a polar orbit.
