In this view of the entire constellation of Orion the Hunter, we see the red giant star Betelgeuse (upper left), Rigel (lower right), the three evenly-spaced belt stars (center), and the sword containing the Orion nebula (below the belt). Faintly visible to the left of the belt is the red arc of nebulosity known as Barnard's Loop.
