"Maria blows the stars around
And sends the clouds a-flyin' ..."
-- They Call the Wind Maria, lyrics by Alan Jay Lerner
Above the racing wind-blown clouds, the stars shine on. At the center is the North Star, Polaris, and up from it extends the Little Dipper in the constellation of Ursa Minor. The hills and yucca plants in the foreground are illuminated by a gibbous moon.
