California Mountain Kingsnake

This California Mountain Kingsnake was seen beside the Zumwalt Meadow Nature Trail in Kings Canyon National Park. California Mountain Kingsnakes are non-venomous and harmless to humans -- unlike the similarly-colored Western Coral Snake, which is venomous and dangerous.
